Generali completes Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) Management Board

  • Katrin Gruber appointed Chief Financial Officer for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as Chief Business Performance Officer of Generali Germany
  • Marcela Středová assumes the role of Chief Risk Officer for DACH and Generali Germany
  • Jean-Pierre Schmid, Chief Human Resources and Organisation Officer for DACH, also takes on this role for Germany

Munich – The Generali Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) business unit, which was newly created this year, has completed its Management Board. Therefore, as of 1 January 2023, there will also be changes on the Management Board of Generali in Germany.

 

Giovanni Liverani, CEO of the Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) business unit, says: “On the basis of our organisational and strategic direction in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, we’ve completed the Management Board for our DACH business unit. Katrin Gruber (54) assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer for DACH. As Chief Risk Officer, Gruber was previously responsible for both DACH (on an interim basis) and Generali Germany. She will also become Chief Business Performance Officer of Generali Germany. 

 

Marcela Středová (46) assumes Gruber’s previous responsibilities on the DACH Management Board, as well as the role of Chief Risk Officer in Germany. Středová has worked for the Generali Group since 2008, most recently as Chief Risk Officer and Head of Actuarial Function at Generali CEE Holding in Prague.

 

Jean-Pierre Schmid (59), Chief Human Resources and Organisation Officer for DACH, will also assume the same role in Germany. He succeeds Dr Robert Wehn, who was appointed to the role of Chief IT, Digital and Operations Officer for DACH in early November. In addition, as of 1 January, he will take up the role of Chief Operating Officer in Germany, which he has held on an interim basis since November.
