Rémi Vrignaud
Chief Executive Officer since 2025

Rémi Vrignaud took over as CEO of Generali Switzerland in May 2025. He began his professional career in 2001 at Allianz Group, where he held various management positions, including 12 years as CEO in different countries. He holds a master’s degree in banking and finance. He has built a reputation as a manager with a proven track record of success in implementing high-performance business model transformations and adopts a customer-centric leadership approach.

Rémi Vrignaud was born in 1976, has two adult sons and lives in Zurich.

Eliana Sarli
Chief Financial Officer since 2026

Eliana Sarli has been Chief Financial Officer of Generali Switzerland since March 2026. She brings more than 15 years of international insurance experience across Finance, Risk, and Actuarial functions.

In the later years of her career, she focused on the financial and risk-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions, capital allocation, shareholder remuneration, and alternative risk transfer instruments. Most recently, Eliana Sarli served as Head of Group Capital Management in Milan, where she led capital planning and steering for the Generali Group.  She holds a Master’s degree in Statistical and Actuarial Sciences, is a fully qualified actuary, and is a member of the board of the Italian Association of Actuaries.

Eliana Sarli was born in 1988 and lives in Zurich.

Philipp Keller
Chief Risk Officer since 2021

Philipp Keller has been in charge of the Risk Management Department at Generali Switzerland since May 2021. He has many years of experience in risk management, including at consultancy companies Deloitte and the Boston Consulting Group and as Chief Operating Officer at asset manager Quantica Capital. At the Federal Office of Private Insurance (FOPI, now FINMA), he played a role in the development and implementation of the Swiss Solvency Test (SST). Mr Keller studied mathematics at ETH Zurich and obtained a doctorate in dynamical systems and numerical analysis. He is member of the Board of the Swiss Association of Actuaries (SAA). Philipp Keller was born in 1965 and lives in Ermatingen (Thurgau).

Anne-France Epelbaum
Chief People & Organization Officer since 2023

Anne-France Epelbaum has worked for Generali Switzerland since 1996 and has been its Chief People & Organization Officer since February 2023. Prior to this, she held various roles in the area of Non-Life, most recently that of Claims Operations Director (Customer Services). Anne-France Epelbaum was born in 1970 and lives in the Zurich region with her husband and three children.

Ralph Schmid
Chief Insurance Officer Life since 2020

As Chief Insurance Officer Life, Ralph Schmid has been responsible for the Life & Pension division since 2020. While he also held responsibility for the Non-Life division on a transitional basis from September 2022 to December 2025, his focus has shifted back to the Life & Pension division since January 2026.

Ralph Schmid has extensive local and international experience and was previously Group Head of Unit Linked Savings & Pensions at the Generali Group. Prior to that, he held various positions at Generali Switzerland for 12 years.

He was born in 1977 and lives in Lachen with his wife and two daughters.

Giuliano Leggeri
Chief Distribution & Marketing Officer, as of 2024

Giuliano Leggeri began his professional career at Assicurazioni Generali in Trieste in 2003 after studying economics. He joined Generali Switzerland in 2005 and has held various management positions in Geneva, Nyon and Adliswil. He has always worked closely with Distribution. Since 2023, he has been responsible for Strategy & Transformation Execution. In that role, he has worked hard with his team to launch the Business & Technology Programme to implement the Avanti 2027 business strategy. 

Giuliano Leggeri has been Head of the Distribution division since March 2024. Born in Trieste in 1979, he now lives in Horgen in the canton of Zurich and has family in Italy and Germany.

Yvan Berthou
Chief Insurance Officer Non-Life since 2026

Yvan Berthou was appointed Chief Insurance Officer Non-Life at Generali Switzerland in January 2026. He has gained many years of international experience since he started in the insurance industry in 2001. His career has spanned roles from Pricing Actuary and Underwriting to Global Head of Retail Pricing & Performance, and most recently, Global Head of Motor with the Zurich Insurance Group. 

Yvan Berthou was born in 1978 and lives in Zurich with his wife and two children.
