Christoph Schmallenbach
Chief Executive Officer, since 2022
Christoph Schmallenbach took over as CEO of Generali Switzerland in February 2022. He has held a number of different roles within the Generali Group for around 30 years. After launching his career in an IT role followed by a number of years as COO of AachenMünchener, between 2017 and the end of 2021 he was Chief Business Officer Exclusive Sales for Generali Germany, with a seat on the Board. Born in 1962, Christoph Schmallenbach lives with his family in Aachen, Germany.

Philipp Keller has been in charge of the Risk Management Department at Generali Switzerland since May 2021. He has many years of experience in risk management, including at consultancy companies Deloitte and the Boston Consulting Group and as Chief Operating Officer at asset manager Quantica Capital. At the Federal Office of Private Insurance (FOPI, now FINMA), he played a role in the development and implementation of the Swiss Solvency Test (SST). Mr Keller studied mathematics at ETH Zurich and obtained a doctorate in dynamical systems and numerical analysis. He is member of the Board of the Swiss Association of Actuaries (SAA). Philipp Keller was born in 1965 and lives in Ermatingen (Thurgau).

Alessio Sarti has been the Chief Financial Officer of Generali Switzerland since 2011. He has been with the Generali Group since 1997, initially in Group Accounting and Group Strategic Planning at the parent company in Trieste and since 2007 at Generali Switzerland as its Head of Enterprise Risk Management. Born in 1968, Alessio Sarti lives with his family in Zurich.

Anne-France Epelbaum
Chief Human Resources & Organisation Officer since 2023
Anne-France Epelbaum has worked for Generali Switzerland since 1996 and has been its Chief Human Resources & Organisation Officer since February 2023. Prior to this, she held various roles in non-life, most recently that of Claims Operations Director (Customer Services). Anne-France Epelbaum was born in 1970 and lives in the Zurich region with her husband and three children.

Ralph Schmid
Ralph Schmid has headed up all insurance business at Generali Switzerland since November 2022. This includes both Life & Pension and Non-Life. Ralph Schmid has been in charge of Life & Pension since 2020 and Non-Life on an interim basis since September 2022. He has many years of international experience and has held the role of Group Head of Unit-Linked Savings & Pensions at the Generali Group. Prior to that, he spent 12 years in various positions at Generali Switzerland. Ralph Schmid was born in 1977 and lives in Lachen with his wife and two daughters.

Sepp Ruchti
Sepp Ruchti took over as Chief Distribution Officer on 1 March 2020. Before joining Generali Switzerland in December 2017 as head of Distribution Partner Management, he held various leadership roles for Zurich Insurance and Swiss Life in broker and agent distribution as well as business transformation in Switzerland, France and the US. He holds a Master of Science from the University of Zurich and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Sepp Ruchti was born in 1972 and lives with his family in Zurich.

Andreas Schlögl
Chief Transformation and Operations Officer since 2022
Andreas Schlögl has been Chief Transformation and Operations Officer since 1 September 2022 and joined Generali Switzerland in May 2021 as Chief Transformation Officer. He has more than 18 years of experience in the insurance industry. Mr Schlögl advised countless local and global insurance companies at consultancy company Ernst & Young, particularly in organisation, processes and risk management. From 2014 to 2021, he held various risk management roles within the Generali Group, most recently as Chief Risk Officer for International and Global Business Lines. Mr Schlögl studied business mathematics at the University of Augsburg. He is a member of the German Association of Actuaries (DAV) and a Certified Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA). Andreas Schlögl was born in 1977, is married with three daughters and lives in Adliswil and Friedberg, Germany.
