Sponsorship commitments

Our approach to sponsorship involves maintaining long-term partnerships to support sporting and cultural events.


For 14 years now, hundreds of runners every year have been able to enjoy this stunning route through the unspoilt forest landscape of the Sihlwald. The race has numerous categories, allowing both competitive athletes and people who run for fun to test themselves over different distances.
We have been supporting this event in the Adliswil region, the location of one of our two Swiss head offices, for a number of years.       

Swiss Tennis, the Swiss Tennis Association, has been able to celebrate a number of major successes in recent years, the most notable of which was winning the Davis Cup. With over 50,000 licensed players, some 300,000 who play organised tennis and around 1,000 clubs and tennis centres, Swiss Tennis is one of the largest sports organisations in Switzerland.

Generali Group Switzerland has been a partner to the association for eight years, giving Swiss tennis long-term support. We're now taking our partnership with Swiss Tennis one step further, by becoming a second-tier sponsor and their official insurance partner. From 2017 onwards, we will also be sponsoring one of Switzerland's top tournaments for Swiss players, the Swiss Active Championships (Generali Swiss Champion Trophy).

This popular annual triathlon in western Switzerland is taking place this year for the 28th time. In 2015 a record number of 2,000 participants took part.

We have been supporting this event in the Nyon region, the location of one of our two Swiss head offices, for several years now.


Five concerts a year – live, intimate and exclusive – are held in the German-speaking part of Switzerland: the Energy Live Sessions. In western Switzerland a similar series goes by the name One FM Live Sessions. Only a small number of select guests and ticket winners get the opportunity to attend these exclusive events. Well-known artists play their latest songs and greatest hits for between half an hour and an hour. Tickets for these events do not go on general sale; they can only be won from Radio Energy and the event partners or sponsors. This makes each session a unique and unforgettable occasion.

We have been supporting these music events for a long time now, and we've just extended our involvement for another few years.

Those attending the International Country Music Festival at the Schützenhaus Albisgüetli in Zurich can look forward to over 10,000 minutes of the very best in country music. The programme could hardly be more varied. Outstanding bands from all over the world – from exciting newcomers to established stars – come to play. Lasting six and a half weeks, it's the world's longest festival.

We have been supporting this country music spectacular for over 10 years now. It's a firmly established component of our cultural sponsorship programme.

The Sihlwald open-air cinema is a popular attraction in the Wildnis Park Zurich, not far from our head office in Adliswil. Every year in late summer, it provides an extraordinary experience: an open-air cinema in a captivating natural environment. In an open-sided, covered hall, movie-goers can visit in all weathers to enjoy film highlights both old and new. From child-friendly fairytales through light comedies to challenging cultural cinema, every taste is catered for.

To ensure that film-lovers both young and old will continue to benefit from this event, Generali is taking over as main sponsor of the open-air cinema for the next three years.
