Adliswil – For the fifth time, Generali is introducing children to the world of music with its Lion Kids music development programme. The programme is aimed at girls and boys aged 6 to 12. Supported by professionals, they can discover their musical talent in one-day workshops in cities across Switzerland. The workshops will also run in Biel and Geneva for the first time, in a bilingual format or in French.
According to a survey conducted by Generali, 76% of respondents consider music education for children to be important. Those surveyed cite the promotion of creativity, artistic expression, stress reduction and meaningful leisure activities as the main reasons. They also point out improvements in concentration and attention.
Lion Kids by Generali gives young people the opportunity to discover their talents and develop creatively. The focus is on enjoyment and a relaxed approach to the world of music. The programme thus closes a gap in Switzerland’s cultural development programme for young talent.
Noah Veraguth from Pegasus follows Dodo, Stefanie Heinzmann, Luca Hänni and Bligg as the fifth mentor for Lion Kids by Generali. The Pegasus frontman will write and produce a song specifically for the programme and record it together with the participating children. Pegasus is one of Switzerland’s most successful pop bands, and has received multiple platinum and gold awards as well as three Swiss Music Awards. They have released numerous hit singles and their album “Love & Gunfire” remained in the charts for over 18 months.
Noah Veraguth is excited about the collaboration with Generali:
“I’m delighted to be a musical mentor for Lion Kids by Generali this year! This wonderful and exciting project brings the joy of music to young children – a mission that inspires me. It’s an honour to be a part of it. I’m sure our song will be great, and I can’t wait to get started!"
The proceeds from the song will benefit our foundation The Human Safety Net Switzerland. This global initiative set up by Generali campaigns for parents and children in fragile family situations in Switzerland. Its operations support parents in laying strong foundations for their children’s future despite their difficult circumstances, in line with the motto: “By children for children”.
Children aged 6 to 12 can now apply for the workshops at https://generali.ch/lionkids:
The coveted places are limited – so apply as early as possible.
