If your vehicle breaks down, you have an accident or your battery goes flat, the breakdown assistance included in your car insurance is there to help around the clock. Generali Breakdown Assistance is available throughout Switzerland and across Europe.

Even abroad, we take care of repairs, onward travel or vehicle repatriation. When travelling, travel insurance provides additional protection.
Breakdown assistance applies to the vehicle listed in your policy. Family members are also covered when travelling in that vehicle. The same protection applies to motorcycles through motorcycle insurance.
Breakdown assistance and towing service up to CHF 2,000 per incident. If your vehicle becomes unusable, you will receive hotel accommodation of up to CHF 150 per person or a hire car for 24 hours.
Your cover also applies in countries bordering Switzerland. If your vehicle is unavailable for an extended period, you will receive up to 2 nights’ hotel accommodation of CHF 150 per night or a hire car for up to 48 hours.
Your cover applies throughout Europe, including Kosovo. If your vehicle is unavailable for an extended period, you will receive up to 5 nights’ hotel accommodation of CHF 150 per night or a hire car for up to 5 days.

If you have 24/7 breakdown assistance and assistance cover, Generali will pay for towing and vehicle recovery following an accident, for example if your vehicle has left the road.
